PNO is partner of the new EU project GREENPEG, funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme with a total budget of €8.3 million.
The project, started on May 1st2020, will create exploration toolsets for European pegmatite ore deposits that carry lithiumcaesium-tantalum (LCT) and niobium-yttrium-fluorine (NYF). It will use three active green and brownfield exploration and mining sites at Wolfsberg (Austria); South Leinster (Ireland); and Tysfjord (Norway) for its project work so that its industry partners will benefit immediately from the research.
The project website was released and the first press release and news focusing on the start of the project, the kickoff meeting and the presentation of the consortium were published.
