On March 19th, 2024, the Industrial Workshop for the EU project GREENPEG was held at Universidade de Porto. The event brought together key industry stakeholders and representatives from neighboring EU projects to discuss recent achievements related to the development of innovative tools for exploring buried LCT and NYF pegmatites, including new techniques like a piezoelectric sensor, a helicopter magnetometer, and a drone-borne hyperspectral imaging system. They also introduced new datasets for exploration at both prospect and district scales.
The workshop also helped create synergies with the Horizon Europe-funded project DINAMINE. The project coordinator presented to the audience how DINAMINE will develop an innovative and holistic mine management system aimed at changing and modernizing the industry.
