The BBI JU organised the first edition of the #BBIimpact photo competition: the funded projects were invited to celebrate their achievements through high-quality photos demonstrating the positive impact of the initiative on the environment and the European economy. Participants competed in five categories representing different aspects of BBI JU-funded projects: “Bio-based production process”, “Project results”, “People in bio-based industries”, “Impact of BBI JU”, “Micro and macro photography”, “Social media contest winner”.
FARMŸNG has been awarded in the “Micro and macro photography” category with a photo showing the Tenebrio Molitor bug, FARMŸN's main biomass source, using the microphotography technique (copyright to © Farmyng levonbis_JGL).
The winners of each competition category will be at the centre of a BBI JU promotional campaign, and the winning photos will appear in BBI JU’s publications. In addition, BBI JU will grant access for two representatives of each category's winner to the EFIB 2021 conference on 6-7 October 2021 in Vienna, Austria.
