The fifth issue of the DEMETER newsletter focuses on progresses made by the project within the evaluation, on small scale, of the enzyme performance in biogas application. In particular, the tests showed not only a positive enzyme effect on the viscosity of the digestate but also that the enzyme is active in anaerobic environment at both mesophilic and thermophilic conditions, therefore it may attribute to higher biogas yield and a more stable process.
The newsletter also provides information on the last project meeting held in Gent (Belgium) last February, and on the final dissemination workshop which will be organized in the frame of the Biogas Convention & Trade Fair, next 10-12th December 2019 in Nurnberg (Germany).
