Last week in Brussels, PNO Innovation Belgium participated at the kick-off meeting of the EU-funded project SOLMATE. The acronym SOLMATE stands for “Reuse of SOLar PV Panels and EV Batteries for low-cost decentralised energy solutions and effective Recycling of critical raw MATErials from their EoL products”. Over the upcoming four years, the team will focus on developing and implementing innovative technologies to facilitate the reuse and recycling of photovoltaic (PV) panels and electric vehicles (EV) batteries. These innovations extend beyond theoretical concept, as the project is committed to showcasing practical applications through the deployment of low-cost descentralised energy systems in three distinct real-life scenarios. The overarching goal is to make sustainable energy both accessible and affordable. Follow us on LinkdIn.
