On 16 October 2024, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) hosted the LiCORNE project’s M24 consortium meeting and its first exploitation workshop. The event gathered nearly 15 industry guests and members of the External Advisory Board (EAB) to discuss advancements in lithium extraction technologies. Nader Akil, Operations Manager at PNO Innovation Belgium, outlined the workshop's objectives and provided an overview of the LiCORNE project, which aims to develop competitive technologies for lithium extraction and recovery from various feedstocks. PNO also presented several funding opportunities to support the most promising technologies and facilitate future collaborations, aiming to bring the LiCORNE project's selected flowsheet to a pilot level.
