Researchers from University of Liege (ULiège) and Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) conducted a series of experimental activities as part of the PEACOC Project to assess the effectiveness of two cutting-edge technologies: the NOVA technology, which retrieves value from old electronic devices through the recycling of precious metals (PMs0, and the Roller Sorting (+) Magnetic Density Separation process was tested for PCBA components separation. These technologies are designed to unlock the value of low-grade PCBAs that are typically sent outside of Europe due to low interest from smelters, thus securing an efficient and sustainable alternative for PMs supply in Europe.
