More than 370 BIC members have gathered in Brussels on February 12th for the biggest ever edition of this initiative, representing all sizes of businesses, universities, research institutes and more have gathered for networking and to begin the first steps of partnerships that advance Europe's bio-based industries - a joint goal as we all strive for a stronger, sustainable and circular bioeconomy.

Patrizia Circelli, from CiaoTech-Gruppo PNO, and María Jiménez Cuesta, from PNO Spain, are attending the event today, representing Biomodel4Regions and C4B to join forces with other bio-based initiatives and drive the Bioeconomy forward.

Biomodel4Regions—coordinated by CiaoTech - Gruppo PNO—is building on years of research and expertise in the bioeconomy, integrating projects, initiatives, and best practices. The project’s results will be demonstrated in real-life settings, supporting six pilot regions within the cluster network and highlighting the crucial role of regional policies in fostering innovation and collaboration in the bioeconomy across Europe.

C4B, coordinated by CiaoTech – PNO Group, with PNO Spain leading the Exploitation and Dissemination activities, is committed to fostering the growth of rural communities in Europe. The project aims to develop fair and sustainable business models for farmers and foresters in the circular bioeconomy, providing financial support through an Open Call to demonstrate the feasibility of these models in different locations.
