PNO Innovation is partner of MAREWIND - MAterials solutions for cost Reduction and Extended service life on WIND off-shore facilities, a new funded project aimed at pave the way for the next generation offshore wind generators and facilities.

With a budget of €6.7 million from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, MAREWIND will cover the following ambitious targets: enhancing corrosion protection systems and durability, effective and durable antifouling solutions without using biocides, erosion protection and mechanical reinforcement in wind blades, predictive modelling and monitoring and increasing recyclability.

The project, run by a consortium made by 16 partners across Europe, has officially started in December 2020 and it will work towards its objectives for the next four years.
