
The Cluster hub "Materials for batteries" has nearly tripled its membership over the past three years, since its official launch. This shows a great appetite for R&I initiatives to tap into unexplored technologies that will allow the EU to secure a resilient supply of metals for the domestic battery production. PNO Innovation Belgium has been orchestrating this clustering initiative for three years and is continuously screening the EU funding environment for new members and facilitating joint initiatives. In December 2024, the third edition of the cluster's annual workshop took place in Brussels, bringing together policy makers, research, and industry representatives. Read the proceedings article.
