Recently marking the M18 Review Meeting, FIREFLY project announces promising results in developing electrochemical technologies and catalyst synthesis, aiming at enhancing the efficiency and the sustainability of metal recovery processes. Results presented in M18 undescore 80 % extraction of tungsten and vanadium from spent DeNoX catalysts and over 85 % palladium recovery using electro-driven solvoleaching and solvent extraction. Additionally, the gas-diffusion electrocrystallization process has demonstrated a 98% palladium recovery from synthetic solutions.
