With the acquisition of the Brescia-based company GFinance, CiaoTech, has further strengthened its presence in Italy. GFinance specializes in consulting for research and obtaining national grants. Together, CiaoTech and GFinance employs 73 highly qualified specialists in innovation and public financing.

Rapidly evolving market demands comprehensive services

The world of innovation is developing at a breakneck pace, impacting the innovation funding landscape, which is simultaneously expanding and becoming more complex. As a provider of innovation and public funding consultancy, it is crucial to meet the growing and increasingly demanding needs of innovative companies. To do so, in-depth expertise and capabilities across a wide variety of areas are invaluable assets. CiaoTech and GFinance fit together seamlessly in this regard, making the merger highly synergistic.

Marco Romeo, managing director of CiaoTech with offices in Milan, Rome, Naples, and Bari, says,

"GFinance is the ideal partner because of its deep-rooted presence in northern Italy and its consolidated experience in the field of national concessional finance. They offer high-quality services and their growth ambitions are in line with ours. CiaoTech and its clients can count on a specialized consultancy with solid experience and covering a part of Italy where CiaoTech still has a lot of growth potential. We are happy to present today this new strategic and impactful alliance in our market."

This is underscored by Marco Nicolai, CEO of GFinance: “In CiaoTech we see a partner that complements us in many ways. Their expertise in EU funding, as well as their broad services portfolio - including AI-based support tools - match our needs seamlessly. In fact, Italian companies still make little use of European funds, despite having significant resources. For example, between now and 2027, 150 billion EUR is available for innovation, digitalization and environmental sustainability."

Marco Romeo and Marco Nicolai will jointly lead the integration.
