On September, 20, the kick-off meeting of the DEMETER project took place at the Genencor/DUPONT premises in Leiden (Netherlands).

The project - funded under the topic H2020-BBI.D7-2015 - will demonstrate a yield increase and cost reduction of the production process of a C1-based biogas enzyme as well as its positive effect on biogas production in Europe.

Genencor International, Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, Miavit, Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum Gemeinnuetzige, Organic Waste Systems, Ciaotech PNO, Biomoer Energie are the partners involved in this innovative project which will last for the next 3 years.
